Praise, Worship and prayer
Praise, Worship and prayer is regarded as vital part of training program. All students are invited to participate. Praise puts the lord in His rightful place as the source of our instruction and revelation Praise and worship prepare our hearts to receive revelation from God. It also helps us be still from the cares of the world and entered into a receiving mode. Prayer helps us to receive strength and guidance in order to plan the week ahead and make the very best of the fulfillment of the assignment.
The church
The SHBI is an integral part of the local church program. Training should not take place outside of the church environment. The local pastors or ministers will adapt the running of the SHBI program to suit their situation.
All that is required is one night, apart from lecture nights, for the students to complete their assignments. Other than that church attendance is expected from every student who should be faithful in attending and serving in the local church
Ordination
It is our policy to train the believer on-the-job in the local situation without removing the student from that place of ministry. It is also assumed that every licentiate student is a potential minister in the church. Every student is subject to the licensing and ordination policy of his or her church or denomination
SHBI Policy
We believe that the local church is autonomous, Self-contained and self-propagated. Every local church is responsible for the training and ordination of their own pastors
Congregations
The vision of the church at large is to appoint elders everywhere and as such encourage pioneering and church planting. Therefore, if a graduate has heard from the lord
